From far away you can spot the bounty sunlit island and its old iconic lighthouse. Upon arrival at Klein Curacao, the crystal-clear water is calm, perfect for swimming, snorkeling and scuba diving. Although the dry way to get to shore from the catamaran is by dinghy, we recommend you grab a snorkel and swim to shore! Upon going into the water, you will immediately spot many colorful fish and turtles all around you! Between May and August, you may even see baby sea turtles making their way from the sandy beach into the clear ocean water.

When you get ashore, explore the island while blissfully sunbathing along the way. The distance from the beach to the lighthouse, shipwrecks and ruins is not too far for a walk. At noon, the crew is ready to serve you up an extensive BBQ buffet. Enjoy drinks from the open bar.

At 3:00 pm we set sail, waving goodbye to this Caribbean pearl and on the wings of the wind head back to Curacao.

Amazing trip! The island was fabulous and the crew went above and beyond to make sure all guests had a wonderful experience. Food exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend and will definitely do it again!
Blue Finn First Class

The 90 minutes sailing up and sailing back from Little Curacao was just magical. The crew was so helpful and just created an awesome vibe for the trip. Honestly, the food was some of the best "pub grub" that we had during our trip to Curacao. Awesome ribs, chicken and an eclectic selection of salads. Of course the "adult beverages" flowed plentifully once we had arrived and following snorkelling activity. Although quite "traditional" for a catamaran tour - this crew really has the service and hospitality aspects nailed down. Blue Finn is first class.
Fantastic Trip!

Loved this trip - and so glad we booked with Blue Finn. We had a group of 4 in our party, and all of us enjoyed the day.

We were on the Black and White catamaran, and it was a nice size with good space to enjoy the water (and in some cases, enjoy the waves splashing through the netting in front). They did warn us :). There was also good seating in the middle of the deck for shade and to stay dry. We were lucky that they were able to pick us up at the Sandals property - made for an early (7:30) pickup, but it saved us navigating to the main dock site.

General day schedule:
8:30: standard pick up
8:45 -10:30: ride to Klein
10:30-12:30: time to snorkel or explore Klein
12:30: BBQ lunch. (So so good!)
Until 2:45- more free time to snorkel/beach
3:00-5:00: return to Curaรงao

Why Iโ€™d book again in a heartbeat?
- Fantastic crew. Capable, fun, really interested in making it a great day
- The BBQ lunch. Tons of great food. Yum!
- Great boat. Our catamaran experience was super fun. A few other operations had smaller and more closed-off boats.
- Beautiful island and snorkeling. We saw barracuda, a stingray, pufferfish, and lots of various tropical fish. Itโ€™s mostly flat and sandy with great visibility.

Recos:
- Understand that Klein is an uninhabited island. You can walk to the lighthouse or hang on a beautiful beach. No facilities. A few thatched roof cabanas for shade. We went with the intention of snorkeling only, but others were expecting more on the island
- If you want to snorkel, the boat hands out masks/snorkels only. Bring fins if you want them. The snorkeling was worthwhile.
- If youโ€™re prone to seasickness, take meds before. Itโ€™s a rough ride, though no one on our boat was sick. The crew also offers some helpful advice - so speak up if youโ€™re feeling ill.
- Watch the time and be back to the boat on time. There wasnโ€™t a roll call or passenger check; itโ€™s your responsibility to board on time.
- Bring sunscreen and reapply - the sun is beautiful but fierce.

Highly recommend and hope you enjoy the trip!!
Great Experience

The day trip was exactly as described. The crew were very friendly and the buffet lunch was amazing!
A perfect way to cap off an amazing vacation!

We booked this trip for our last day in Curacao, and it was the perfect send-off! Klein Curacao is stunningly beautiful and since we'd been seeing one gorgeous beach after another all week long, this is truly high praise. Bluefinn Charters was a great way to get there. The crew was incredibly friendly and attentive. If your hand was empty, they were there to put the drink of your choice in it. The buffet lunch did not disappoint -- there were three kinds of meat, plus a bunch of sides and a peanut sauce to die for. We had a great experience with Bluefinn and would absolutely recommend it to everyone.

Just a couple of details we want to note based on our experience that come from logistical questions we had prior to the excursion and want to share with others so they have an idea of what to expect. The boat ride to Klein Curacao is about 2 hours one-way. There is some shade on the boat, but you might find yourself in direct sunlight for quite some time, so definitely be prepared with lots of sunscreen or a coverup. Once we arrived, we were able to go to shore and explore for about an hour and a half before lunch was served. Most people swam from the boat to shore (about 25 yards), but anyone less confident in their swimming abilities was ferried over in the dinghy used to transport everyone's personal bags to the beach. We left our bags on the beach when it was time to go back for lunch (again, most of us swam back). Open bar starts with lunchtime and doesn't stop until you get back to the dock. After lunch, we had about another hour and a half to spend back on the beach before it was time to go. The crew was very specific about the timeline and careful to make sure no one (or their bags) got left behind. For anyone considering checking out the lighthouse or shipwreck, we definitely recommend it! It's a much shorter walk than you think, maybe 10-15 minutes to get there and it's a really fascinating landscape to check out. There are a ton of trails and paths all over the place that will get you there, but there seems to be one "official" walkway on the north side of the Mermaid Boat Trip area that is the most direct. Also, there are no lounge chairs but there are a handful of palapas. Some are big enough to share and some are smaller. If you can bring towels or a blanket to sit on, that's the best way to go. We did not have an issue with mosquitos or bugs.

Overall, this was a fantastic trip! At first glance, it seems like it might be a bit too long of a day, but time flies when you're having fun, and we were more than a little disappointed to hear the "toot toots" summoning us to return to the boat. We had a blast!
Full day island experience but a bit loud
plehtila, 30-11-2022
The views of the shore were nice. The boat was a bit fuller than I had hoped for as it was difficult to find any available seats in the shade. There's plenty of time to spend on the island and snorkling. The stairs from the catamaran were very comfortable. Lunch was delicous: BBQ and salads. On the way back the music was very loud and as people enjoyed the full bar they became pretty loud as well. It's a party boat so be prepared for that. They put the sails up for about half an hour on the way back. It would be nice if music could be paused for that so the sounds of the sea could be enjoyed. The crew was nice and helpful. The boat is beautiful. It really is a full day tour, the boat will be back at Jan Tiel at 5PM.
